The following post includes a limerick, wherein I commemorate national limerick day (last week), the Civil War (which started 150 years ago this past weekend), and my new experience with a game like baseball that apparently was more common during the 1860s.
In the great North versus South war,
Heartache and loss came to every door.
Had it been solved with cricket,
the target, a wicket,
Our country would have been spared the gore.
The idea was okay, the execution of the idea was somewhat lacking. But there you have it.
